Girard, Illinois
A new home on Sunset Lake in Girard, Illinois for a woman born on her 200 acre family farm in a Sears/Roebuck mail order home. The client, a single grandmother, wanted a home to reflect the very nature of the place she loved; CJP Architects design is a tapestry of elements common to farms of the region. This residence brought CJP architects a 1995 Central Illinois American Institute of Architects Honor Award for its design.
